Bloodborne: Cainhurst Castle is discovered!

I still haven't killed Rom the Vacuous, but have managed to find and open Cainhurst Castle, The Lecture Hall and Nightmare Frontier.

****Bloodborne: Into Byrgenwerth College

I haven't been playing much lately, but got back into The Nightmare this morning with the express mission to kill these two bosses and claim their bloody prizes today.

The Witch of Hemwick:

Witch of Hemwick (ヘムウィックの魔女 Hemuuikku no majo lit. "Witch of Hemwick")

"'In the outskirts of Yharnam, the city of gravekeeper witches carved by the sunlight, Hemwick. In its depths, an old, gigantic structure and one Old lady lies in wait. Holding suspicious rituals in the deepest of the night, for that very purpose it is said that she gathers the eyeballs of the living. In the city where unwanted corpses would be gathered and disposed of, her outfit might just be befitting of one such place.

This creature, her mirror and her minions took two attempts. This one likes to suddenly appear next to you and cut out your eyes...

The Shadows of Yharnum:

Shadow of Yharnam (ヤーナムの影 Yānamu no kage lit. "Shadow of Yharnam")

Hard! Took 5 attempts. These guys have three different modes of attack and change characteristics 3 times during the fight. And when only 1 is left, that one gains summon: Giant snakes. And they're GIANT.

Into Byrgenwerth College we go, and we don't have far into this new Nightmare before we are jumped by our first Garden of Eyes. Ohh yes, this will be a whole new level of bad dreams.

A Garden of Eyes

***The level is cleared and we stand on the top tower (The Lunarium) ready to plunge into the Moonside Lake and fight the level boss: Rom, The Vacuous. It is a giant spider that summons many more 'smaller' giant spiders into the lake... once defeated, the world will advance to a blood moon phase, and all things will be made different again.

The world is not advancing and Rom is still in the lake. I may be defeated!

Until next time, fellow Hunters.

Bloodborne bosses are falling. There is so much blood....

I am still in the Bloodborne dream. A hellish place indeed.

Only took 4 attempts on this guy. The last attempt, I did not have any fire paper, so this one was all brutality.

Vicar Amelia went down today. Took 5 tries, but after breaking her left arm, if you stay in close, you can attack her while she is trying to heal. Got a visceral hit and just stayed in close the whole time.

Found the workshop door in the... tower of whatchacallit.

[UPDATE]***A new waste of time: Bloodborne. Into the Old City of Yharnam - at least for a little while....

Maaaaaaan, I JUST realized that I selected Milquetoast for my profession instead of Military Veteran...  pardon me while I grab a hanky...

We'll see how this goes. The frustration barrier may be too high to scale, and the beasts that inhabit this Nightmare may be too fell to overcome.

"All the treasures are blood."
-Me- just now

Thought this shot was fitting for my quote! This is just after killing the Cleric Beast.

Here's the game: You take your Diablo character and throw it into a Mordheim map. And then try and fight the most ridiculously overpowered creatures in any game ever. And when you die... you have to start all over again. Pure psychological torture disguised as a 'game.'
There is hardly any ROI for playing this. May be done with it.

Only 43 percent of everyone that's played on PS4 have defeated the first boss. That's how hard this game is. FromSoftware has a sado-masochistic bent that makes their games much harder at the beginning of the game then the end. Elden Ring is like that too. I probably fought Magrit 50 times and grinded to level 54 before I realized that I couldn't kill him because I couldn't summon a second fighter due to not paying the subscription fees for PS Plus. I knew I killed that guy!

I got really lucky with Father Gascoigne...

I'm into... someplace else. It took me three tries to get this creep off the Cathedral roof with his machine gun...asshole. I ended up just running past all the monsters and climbing straight up the side of the building to get to him and shooting him off the roof. He deserved it, but I don't think I can recover whatever McGuffin he drops.

Until next next time, Hunters.
