These 3 movies get an 'excellent' rating for the sheer force of creep they bring to the table: I highly recommend all three of these movies as top tier Halloween timewasters.
The Shining - Stanley Kubricks' vision for the Stephen King novel. It is NOT the story Stephen King wrote and there was some animosity between the two for years because of how far removed Kubrick's vision was from Kings. Some say that Kubrick had an ulterior motive though. Like all of Kubricks works - pay attention to everything in the background. It's just as much of a character in Kubricks films as the actors themselves.
Room 237. If you know, you know. Grade A++
Hereditary - This. The creepiest movie I've ever seen. This is one that you need to watch. And then watch it again. And then look for deep dives on all the things you missed and the meaning of different scenes in the movie. And then watch it again. Then you will begin to understand the true horror of this masterpiece. Highly, highly recommended timewaster! A+++
Clown - CREEPY. Just go into this one blind and watch. As the disease progresses, the director pulls you along for the ride. And what a ride it is. Timewaster grade: A+

| One of my favorite horror movies. The sequel is one of the two better sequels than the originals, but I classify Aliens as a sci-fi movie. Aliens occupies my number one spot on the sci-fi list. |
