Project 09-01 complete. Hecatron the Fire Giant, his hellhounds and... a random lion!

These were all done in pretty much 1 day as the layering, wet-blending and glazing makes you keep going once you start. (can't let the paint dry!) Here they are in no particular order:

Not a great pic - I just wanted this to be the thumbnail on the mobile versions...

***[UPDATED] The giant has his companion: meet Mayhem, the Owlbear!

These two are a pair that I've been wanting for some years now, and just found both of them by shear happenstance. They're 28mm scale minis as far as the details are concerned and would make formidable OpFor on any table.

The Owlbear feathering isn't Standard Operating Procedure colors, but he's a made up thing, so I'm taking artistic liberties to make him look badass! The face and eyes had to be completed first thing as the helmet and face armor would have been too much of an impediment for getting all of the right details in there after it was put in place.

The paint is.... very focused and with more precision than I usually practice. They are larger models which require a wholly different philosophy sometimes, but the detail work is very time consuming to get the proper and correct illusion for the eyes. It's all about the optics, you know.

The giant is a MOM Miniatures Chaos Giant and the Owlbear is by a company called Trenchworx. Neither model is 100 percent yet. This is two months plus of paint so far...

UPDATED PICS 09-19-25. Still on the table:

I'm putting all of my tools into these two.

Natural lighting this morning for all the defects, colors and everything!

Project 08-03-2025

 Another creature feature!

These little guys are undetailed and small - like the picture.

I like this toad!

This would be the ubiquitous "Bludgeon-Slug"
